Department of Speech and Language Therapy
As the only such institution in the Ulsan area, the Department of Speech and Language Therapy trains language therapists and specialized teaching aides to diagnose, rehabilitate, and educate children with language disabilities. Students receive a three-dimensional systematic education of theory, practice, and field-training in Choonhae's own Speech and Language Therapy Center. Upon graduation, students can earn a Class 2 language rehabilitation license and a Class 2 teaching aide license for language disabilities, as well as certifications as a developmental progress evaluator and as an early childhood art therapist. With these licenses and certifications, alumni find employment at various rehabilitation centers, hospitals and educational institutions. Students can earn up to five licenses and can find job opportunities at language therapy centers, general hospitals, and child development centers. Students can earn a four-year bachelor's degree through intensive major courses.
