Current Internship Programs Abroad

Short-term educational experiences abroad
  • Korean Council for Vocational College Education
  • 16-week field training courses through medical institutions abroad
  • 0 hours of classroom instruction combined with 16 weeks of field-based training abroad (This includes four to eight weeks of prep courses before going abroad for eight to twelve weeks of clinical or industry-based training. This program counts towards academic credit for the semester)

Current Global Programs

TOEIC Competition
  • Starting four years ago, Choonhae began hosting an annual specialized TOEIC Exam Competition (Students who participate receive financial aid for exam fees).
  • The student with the highest score receives a merit scholarship each year.
Freshmen Mock TOEIC
  • A mock TOEIC is given to incoming freshmen students in order to assess their English fluency.
  • Basic language skills enhancement programs are available to students who need additional training.
English Class
  • Weekly two-hour sessions with native English speakers are available for students to improve their English language skills and cultural awareness.
English Language Training via Telephone
  • English language training with native English speakers via telephone (without time or location limitations).
  • One-on-one bi-weekly 15-minute sessions catered to the student’s English language skill level
English Language Training via Video Conference
  • English language training via Zoom video conference customized to the student’s language skill level
English Camp
  • Conversational and workplace language training with native English speakers
  • Occurs once per semester
Global Lounge: Language-Focused Activities
  • The Global Lounge hosts monthly English language training-focused activities.
  • Programming is based on current students’ interests.
TOEIC Academy
  • Three-week immersive program during summer and winter vacation when school is not in session
Global Internship Mentor Program
  • Students who have participated in Choonhae’s international study abroad and/or internship programs mentor prospective interns as they prepare to go abroad.
Innovative English Camp for Core Nursing Skills
  • The purpose of this program is to reenact clinical nursing practice by Choonhae nursing students for foreigners, replacing overseas clinical nursing practice. Also, identify nursing problems by situation, perform nursing skills, have global competence, and strengthen clinical field site adaptability as a professional nurse.
